Writing Workshops
As a teacher with twenty years of experience, both in an academic setting and without, I can provide prompts, guidance, and critique on your work. Whether you are writing poems or fiction, my workshops will spur the generative process in creating new work, as well as give you the tools to edit and improve your work on your own beyond the workshop.
All of my workshops are one-on-one and are either by the class or an eight week course. If you are looking for guidance in a specific genre or style, that can be arranged as well.
Poetry/Flash Fiction Workshop - 8 Week Course
$600
A one-on-one course conducted over email that involves weekly lessons with prompts. The lessons cover different styles and approaches to writing as well as focusing on various writers, with the prompts being born from the lesson’s focus. I will comment extensively on the work you produce. Overall, the workshop is meant to be generative, as well as giving you goals that hopefully will stretch your mental muscles and sharpen your writing skills and your personal voice.

Class-by-Class Workshop
$75
A class-by-class workshop essentially like the eight week course, except with no defined length or commitment on your part. This version of workshop can also be tailored to your specific needs, with lessons and prompts aimed at what you wish to work on in particular. In addition, it eschew lessons/prompts entirely to be completely focused on your work that you are either producing or have already produced.
In the past, I have worked one-on-one with poets to generate new work and provide comments towards revision, as well as done weekly edits of a client's novel to help them transform the genre from YA to adult. The workshop price listed is for one class only, but can change depending on the needs of the client and how long the prospective workshops might go on.
